To help us build functional systems that improve the customer experience, we’re looking for a DevOps engineer who can be responsible for implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure, deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs.
What you will be doing
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Deploy updates and fixes to the applications
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
- Debug platform failures while working with the business on incident response
- Participating in maintenance events
- Help drive the organization towards continuous delivery
- Build tools to increase the velocity of our engineering teams
- Assist in configuration of integrated tools and user management
- Keeping systems patched and up to date
- Help ensure that in the event of catastrophic failure we can recover
- Work with engineering teams to increase the operational stability of the platform
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
- Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management
What must-have skills we are looking for
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying applications preferably written in .NET & PHP and deployment automation
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Write scripts and automation using programming/shell languages like PHP/Python/Bash
- Proficiency in CVS systems like Git / SVN
- 5+ years experience building and managing software in a production environment
- Configuring and working with various deployment methodologies, including VM and Cloud (e.g AWS)
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Chef or Teraform
- Previous experience working with continuous integration servers like Jenkins etc.
- Problem-solving attitude
- Collaborative team spirit
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
What we expect good to have
- Knowledge of application monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Understanding of application scaling and load balancing
- Experience with containerization Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of network security WAF, VPN etc.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
